Looking at the World Through Rust-Colored Glasses

The town of Snoqualmie, Washington, is home to a collection of old rolling stock - trains, that is - sponsored by the Northwest Railway Museum. Some cars are being restored, and some are moldering and rusting away. Here is a triptych of faded reds.

I have a couple of earlier posts on this collection: All the Pretty Iron Horses and The Steel rails Still Ain't Heard the News.

  1. Lovely photos which emphasise that these trains have seen better days.

  2. Fertile territory for the imagination to run riot. Your photos of colours and textures, as always, are magnificent.

  3. With regard to the photo on your masthead, obviously not saved from poor grammar.

    1. Heh! Well, to be fair, I suspect it's verbatim from the King James version!

  4. Great shots - shame some of the vehicles were not preserved.
