Spent all day Friday moving our sailboat, Gannet, from Seattle to Tacoma. Started with a leisurely chug down the ship canal, lined with (of all things) ships. You couldn't wish for a more picturesquely battered lineup. Should "picturesque" be deemed a four-letter word? Brutal architecture against inescapably Monet-like water.
